Although the floors are sometimes overlooked for insulation, they can be accountable for around 10-15% of all total heat loss in a standard home due to draughts that can escape through gaps between the floorboards, skirting and around service pipes.
The SWIP Under Floor Insulation System (UFI) is specifically designed for suspended timber floors and utilises the SWIP UFI Roll, which is a breathable glass mineral wool insulation batt used in conjunction with the SWIP Netting.
The design of the SWIP UFI System ensures that ventilation can be maintained under the insulation, whilst the friction-fitted UFI Roll allows for a more controlled airflow, both of which allow for a more organic form of temperature control.
The SWIP UFI System is designed for a variation in joist sizes and, as standard is suitable for 100mm (4-inch), 150mm (6-inch) and 200mm (8-inch).
