At SWIP, quality and compliance are more than just principles—they are the foundation of our mission as a leading insulation system designer. By adhering to our own stringent guidelines and government regulations, we ensure every SWIP system is installed right the first time reflecting the highest standards. More importantly, our work is about improving lives—offering enhanced comfort, lower energy costs, and a more sustainable future.

From manufacturing to warranties, training, and health and safety, we place quality at the core of everything we do. Here’s how we bring these commitments to life across every stage of our operations:

Manufacturing

Our commitment to quality begins at the manufacturing stage, where each product undergoes meticulous inspection for factors such as excess adhesive, precise specifications, and any signs of damage. Our warehouse team carries out checks at every step, including post-manufacture and pre-delivery.

Technical Support and Warranties

SWIP systems are backed by a 25-year guarantee, which requires rigorous quality checks for a successful issue. Examining the entirety of the property, our Warranties team can quickly highlight any issues or concerns that can be rectified or corrected immediately.

According to the figures from our Quality & Compliance process, 98% of cases successfully pass without the need for correction work or remediation reflecting effective SWIP Installer-focused training course and diligent Technical Support Service.

Our team has been actively collaborating with IBG providers to create joint efforts that significantly reduce errors and minimise risks. We maintain strong relationships with Qualitymark, SWIGA, and the IAA, engaging in regular communication to ensure mutual understanding and adherence to internal quality standards and industry regulations. At SWIP, we prioritise collaborative approaches and partnerships as we all share the common goal of reducing fuel poverty and creating lasting benefits for customers and future generations.

Installer Training and Accreditation

Quality installation is essential, which is why every contractor must be accredited by SWIP to install our systems. Accreditation includes completing our IWI and RIR installer-focused training course, which provides a step-by-step guide and expert advice, teaches the high-standard installation of the Internal Wall and Room in Roof insulation systems, and ensures compliance with enhanced industry standards, including PAS 2019/2030, BEIS Guidance, and ventilation requirements.

During the training, installers can engage at specific stages to ask questions and address any concerns or confusion they might have.

As part of the SWIP Approved Contractor Scheme, installers who completed the training are required to have their first install inspected and authorised at each stage by the SWIP Technical team via video call. From pre-install surveys to real-time live installation support, our Technical team helps contractors avoid delays and ensures high-quality installations. This support extends beyond installers reaching funding providers, retrofit assessors and coordinators for any advice about the installation and specification of our system or general industry compliance framework guidance.

All our Technical Support and Warranties staff complete regular training within SWIP and keep up-to-date with industry updates. Our teams are trained on U-values understanding building elements like walls, roofs, floors, windows, doors, and the thermal value of the materials. Applying these skills and training allows our team to make informed decisions on material selection and design for energy & efficiency.

Health and Safety

Quality and compliance extend to employee wellbeing. We prioritise health and safety by requiring protective gear such as high-visibility vests, masks, and proper footwear, ensuring a safe workplace for all. We have several certified first aiders, fire marshals, and mental health warriors to ensure physical and mental wellbeing for all SWIP employees.

What our teams have to say about quality and compliance within the insulation industry

“Quality and compliance are incredibly important to us in our manufacturing business. This commitment extends beyond our products to encompass the wellbeing and safety of our team. We ensure that our team follows safety protocols, and that necessary equipment is readily available.”
Health and Safety

“As an insulation systems designer, quality and compliance are fundamental to us.
We make sure every project that uses our system meets our guidelines and government regulations. But most importantly, it’s about the people whose homes it’s installed in and who feel the difference every day.

Our goal is to help people save on energy bills, make homes more comfortable, and support a more sustainable future. And we can only achieve this through rigorous quality and compliance checks.”
Warranties Team

“Installers may encounter a range of challenges that can complicate the installation of our product. These situations may include various factors that require specialised attention.
The technical team is committed to maintaining quality and compliance by providing expert guidance and support to address these issues, ensuring that the product is correctly installed and fully functional.

This not only benefits installers but also helps prevent customer issues, such as dampness and mould, down the line. We also have a full understanding of the latest regulations set out by the government and associated accreditation bodies.”
Technical Team

“Quality and compliance are at the heart of what makes us a leading insulation system designer. These aren’t just steps in our process, they’re fundamental to everything we do in production. We’re committed to delivering our products in the best possible condition for our customers.”

In conclusion, SWIP’s commitment to quality and compliance is the driving force behind our mission to build safer, more comfortable, and energy-efficient living spaces. By embedding these values into every stage of our operations— from precise manufacturing and expert technical support to comprehensive training and stringent health and safety measures—we reflect the company messaging “more than a material supplier”.
